Wow how time flies! It was just yesterday it seemed when I was doing night checks on my girls at 3 in the morning waiting the arrival of the sweet little ones that are now getting so big! Monet was the first to have her babies and they are 5 weeks old as of yesterday! The others are all around 3-4 weeks old. The girls all got dehorned last week and are recovering very well! Although the boys I decided not to dehorn because they were a little too far along for my liking. Meaning, their horns were a little too big and I didn't want to put them in more pain and risk more infection. The babies will get their first round of CD&T within the next week and the boys will get banded in two weeks.
Here are a few pictures of the little ones! Hello!
Here are a few pictures I've taken over the past few days when the babies were enjoying the outdoors! I have also been posting more on my Facebook farm page at Lil' Country Sunshine because it is way easier than uploading here. Follow me there if you want more continual updates! If you want to schedule a visit just let me know! -Miriam S. I was finally able to let the babies outside for a little bit on Easter as the weather warmed up just for a tiny bit in the afternoon and they absolutely loved it! Here are the little ones experiencing the great outdoors for the very first time... Feel free to email me with any questions!
-Miriam S. The long awaited babies are here! Monet started off the kidding season with a week early birthing where she had three beautiful babies! Two does and one buckling to start us off. It took me almost three hours to get the last little one up and moving around but she is doing amazing now at a week old!
About two days later Minnie decided it was her turn and she was moved into the barn and gave birth to twin girls! The birth was a quick one and I barely had to help. Both girls are doing amazing! Bright and early on Easter morning Eddie gave birth to twins (a blue eyed doe and buckling) and lo and behold Delilah had given birth to her first baby, a little white boy! Both deliveries went smoothly and all the babies are doing just fine. Now we are just waiting on Lil' miss Faye to have her babies soon. I will be keeping one doeling from Monet or Lil' Faye (I haven't decided yet) but other than that all babies will be up for sale! Email me if you are interested or have any questions or want to come out to see the sweet babies! -Miriam S. Hello everyone!
It has been a little while sense my last post but I am excited to tell you all that my girls are pregnant and due very soon here! I have at least four confirmed pregnancies and need to wait a bit to possibly confirm three more! My earliest doe due would be mid to late April and she is expecting triplets, and I am looking to have between 11 and 14 babies this spring! So exciting! I used a new buck this year and am looking forward to see what coloration patterns we get from his light genes and my girl's dark genes. I will update everyone when we get closer to welcoming these new babies to the farm! Let me know if you are interested in any as I will be starting to create my waiting list for the upcoming little ones! Happy spring! -Miriam S. Yes, it is that time of the year again, when the leaves start falling and the dates start happening! This fall has come up so quick but I am super excited for spring babies! I will be using a different buck this fall by the name of, Ember. I have been wanting to use him for a few years but he was a bit younger then I wanted and needed a little more experience. I am happy to say he is ready to meet my ladies this year! I will be going to pick him up on November 15th and returning him before February 1st for April and May babies! If you are interested in getting on the waiting list for 2022 kids let me know!
-Miriam S. Hello!
I currently have three wethers for sale! They are the cutest things ever and are very sweet boys and would make the perfect pets or herd starters! Here are some pictures of them... (The black and white two are the wethers, and then I have a brown wether also available) Hey Everyone!
Two of the Spring 2021 doelings have just gone to their new home! Thank you so much to the Kovacic family for coming to pick them up! The little girls names are Reed and Twig now, and they are both doing amazing together at their new place! The other all white doeling will be going to her new home this upcoming week which leaves just my three boys left! Two of them are wethers and I have one buckling as of right now. In a few days I will be wethering the other little man unless someone would like to keep him as a buckling. If you are interested in one of the wethers, these boys owuld make the sweetest pets! Feel free to contact me with any questions! -Miriam S. Hello!
It has been a while sense I have been able to come on and post anything, but the babies are all getting so big! I currently have three bucklings available. I have decided to keep three does to breed next season and I am selling the boys from this kidding season. They are all super sweet and have great body structure if you are interested in keeping him as a stud. When they turn 7 weeks old I will be banding them so if you are looking for a stud let me know and I will keep him intact for you! All the babies will be getting CD&T shots this week and the older ones will be getting their boosters. Let me know if you are interested in any of my little boys and I can give you more info! -Miriam S. |
