I have a feeling it is going to get pretty chaotic around here soon, Eddie, Tip-It, and Nutmegs udders are filling out so that is a good sign that they are getting very close to deliver. Daisy, however, I am still waiting for signs from, as well as Penny and Pepi (the two sheep). I can feel a baby inside Daisy, but, she still has about one month to go before she kids (I am pretty sure).
So I am not worried, Mimosa's udder didn't fill out until after birth which happens a lot. So always be prepared for that. Get milk replacer if you don't have frozen milk from another goat, AND get Kid Colostrum which can be found at any animal store. It is very helpful to have that stuff on hand. Timothy is getting cuter every day! He still has marks from where the vet burned his horns out, but his fur is growing in nicely. Other than that, he has been nibbling on hay and grain, and he has been sniffing out the water. He still doesn't like raisins though, which is kind of funny because most of the kids we have had eat them right up! I will be putting Tip-It, Eddie, and Nutmeg in the barn on February 8th just in case we have any early births, which usually happen. If you have a pregnant doe that is getting close to her due date, you will want to look for signs of her going into labor. Which would include, pawing at the ground, discharge, walking away from the rest of the herd, (or going away by herself), and usually when they drop (like get really thin around their hips), they will go into labor within the next 24 hours. Also, I have a website that I like to look at , and I posted it earlier, but here is the link to it just in case you never got to find it. http://goatwisdom.com/. It helps answer any questions about anything pretty much, and it tells you what to expect during your goats labor. I hope this helps! -Miriam S.

Ok, ok, its not actually dooms day, but I know Timothy thinks it is. This morning, he took a trip to the vet and got dehorned and his first CD&T shot. I will give him another CD&T shot when he is two months old. That shot is a booster and a tetanus shot in one. I give my does CD&T about once or twice every year.
I will be giving all of our goats CD&T shots in the next few weeks, because if you give the shot to the pregnant does about one month before they are due, you don't have to give their babies their first shot because they would already have that fluid inside them. It is very helpful. Although, you would still have to give your new babies their second shot when they about two months old. So, right before they go to their new homes. Well, on Saturday, I let Timothy outside the barn for the first time! He loved it, but eventually got cold and wanted to come back in the barn. Totally understandable! It was a very nice day out and I told Mimosa she needed some fresh air, so she came out too. I wanted to let Timothy and Mimosa out again but it has been just so sloppy and wet and rainy here, so I decided to wait for a nicer sunnier day to do so. Also, I would like to make another batch of soap soon, and I didn't know if any of you wanted me to try any different scents. So if you guys have any suggestions, I am open! Just leave a comment, and I will check them out! -Miriam S. Hey all!!! So sorry it took me so long to post pictures of Mimosa's baby boy, but I went out this morning and snapped a few for those who want to see him!! Also, just a reminder, he is just about 17 days old! And.... he is ready to be reserved. He can go once he is weaned and that will hopefully be when he is around 10 weeks old. He is a pure bred Nigerian Dwarf and his mom and his dad have bloodlines from the Rosasharn herd. If you don't know what that is, you might want to know just a little about what they do and why it is so great to have a goat from their herd. The baby bucks name is Timothy. He will just walk right up to you and is very friendly. He isn't quite eating hay or drinking water yet, but that is totally normal he has over five weeks before I will start to wean him. He will most likely be tattooed already but it is hardly noticeable, because the Tattoos will be in his ears. I am only charging $250-$275. $250, I will send registration papers with, and for $275, I will register him for you and he will come with the papers. Alright...... Now for the adorable pictures.... Timothy and his beautiful Momma.....Well, please let me know what you thought of the pictures by commenting down below! Yes, I put some pictures in of Mimosa! She was just so cute when she is jealous, or when she says hi! Also, if you have any questions, or interested in reserving any upcoming babies or Timothy, Give me a holler from the contact page! Thanks for reading!
